Our work with the Choir, its dedicated
members, and Father Lazich will
remain as one of our most memorable
experiences while in St.Louis.We felt
welcomed and a part of the Church
family. The Vojcanin Family became
our extended family and to this day
remains very dear to us. And the late
"Baba Mary",the dear Mary Yovanovich
will always be remembered as "our
guardian angel."God Bless the
members of Holy Trinity and may you
continue to sing the "Gospodis" to God's
glory forever.

Congratulations to the choir on their
100th. I was part of this great choir and
have many many fond memories of our

trips to other parishes, the bus trips the
hotels, what a time our group had.  I
have to laugh sometimes of the
memories, and then again it is sad that
those who made those trips great are
not with us any longer.
Zivan is truly missed. Laughter was his
life and it made ours.  We would be
hurting from the laughing, and we
would always be singing.
My husband, was in the choir a short
time, but he enjoyed the time he had
with us.
We had the best voices in all of the
parishes. And have always been
known as the best Church choir in
America and Canada.

Again Congratulations and many more
years.

  Congratulations on the 100th.  Where
is the liturgical album we taped in the
early 1990's?????  We are sorry to miss
this one, but will plan to attend SOCA in
St. Louis instead.  Have a good time!

Mislim da ovako losim muzicarima i
pevacima ne moze da pomogne ni
jedna Yamaha , a ni Behringer, pa je
moj odgovor da je svejedno koju
izaberes, samo da je to uz pevanje hora
Svete Trijice  hahahahahaha !!!

Dear Singers and Friends
On behalf of the St. Demetrius Church Choir of Akron, Ohio, “Congratulations
on the celebration of your 100th Anniversary”!
Long will we remember the wonderful times that our choirs have shared
singing in Church, at Festivals and in one another’s homes (especially in the
kitchen).  We all share fond memories of those great times.
Over the years, you have lifted your voices to the heavens with the angelic
singing of our Holy Liturgy (especially at the Consecration of our Church) and have
brought joy to young and old, performing in concerts with stirring renditions of our
wonderful secular music.
On a personal note, the first time I heard your choir in concert was at the
SOCA Festival in Chicago, in 1974, and I remember the amazing renditions of Oj
Srbijo, O Jelo Jelo and Ima Dana, with the accompaniment of the Svetozar
Tomich Orchestra (Zivo, Georgie, Bratso, Michael and Batsi).  I still have that
performance on tape and periodically listen to it.  Having become the Director of
our Choir at the ripe old age of 19, I tried to pattern our concert performances
around what I had seen and heard from your Choir while under the direction of
Pete Buha.
Although life’s journeys have led us in all different directions, the memories
and friendships of our past will always be treasured and never forgotten.
Unfortunately, we are unable to attend the festivities this weekend, but will
attempt as a Choir to be at the 2008 Festival.
May the Good Lord Bless you with a weekend full of wonder and treasured
moments.

Ziveli na Mnogaja Ljeta.
